Since 1966, we have viewed walls not as obstacles, but as opportunities.From the big walls of Yosemite to the high peaks of the Himalayas, we were searching for a personal kind of freedom.In this pursuit, we found a community – strengthened by different stories, experiences and perspectives.This community has shown us that the only way forward is together.We believe in a world that is united by difference, bound by empathy and strengthened by understanding.Walls Are Meant For Climbing.

“Climbing absolutely changes lives,” says COO and co-founder, Kristin Horowitz, “I can’t tell you how many people come in with a perception of themselves and what they can and cannot do and come away totally empowered. It carries into every other part of their lives.”

The Pad Climbing hopes that those who would never even consider climbing come in on August 24th and discover a welcoming, non-judgemental, helpful community that wants to make a life changing experience for them on that day.

No gimmicks, no tricks to get you to join. We just want you to have an experience you otherwise wouldn’t.

SLO’s hours are from 11 am to 10 pm on August 24th.
Santa Maria is open 5 pm to 9 pm.

Members have 24/7 access and kids under 3 always climb free. We have yoga, weights, and child-friendly experiences in addition to traditional rock climbing amenities.
