Join us in June for this great fundraising event!
Beginning June 1 and ending on The Longest Day of the year (June 21), we’re excited to launch our our Climb4Cause Bouldering League event at both our San Luis Obispo and Henderson gyms! Together, we’ll raise money to support the fight to end Alzheimer’s Disease.
We’ve partnered up with the Alzheimer’s Association for a two-week long bouldering competition with fun prizes for our winners in one of three tracks:
- Most Problems Climbed
- Most Money Raised
- Most Improved
What’s better than doing what you love (climbing!) while raising funds and awareness for those living with Alzheimer’s and their care partners?

How does it work?
Sign up at the link for your home gym:
Then click “JOIN MY TEAM” and follow the steps to sign up.
Once signed up, you’ll get a link to start taking pledges and donations. Share the link with your friends, family, coworkers, social media followers, and everyone in between to collect pledge donations depending on how many climbs or degrees of difficulty you accomplish.
Remember the jog-a-thons from elementary school? Then you definitely get the idea.
You can track your progress from June 1 to June 21 by logging your climbs in the Climb4Cause Bouldering League binder located at the front desk of each gym. Jot down your progress each time you visit, and keep collecting those pledges. Be sure to pick up a tip sheet while you’re there, which has the download on all the tips and tricks you need to succeed!
At the end of the event on The Longest Day, the total proceeds will go direct to the Alzheimer’s Association, and we’ll award some awesome prizes (which we’ll be sure to give you a sneak peak of on social media, so make sure you follow us to be among the first to see those prize drops!).
Pro tip: One mom and son in Eugene, Oregon who also participated in a similar event raised over $1000, spending the summer solstice climbing, tracking their progress, and posting about it on social media. Don’t forget to tag us too!
Sounds awesome! Where do I sign up?

About “The Longest Day”
The Longest Day is the day of the year with the most light — the summer solstice. And it’s the day we have committed to fighting Alzheimer’s disease! The Pad Climbing is participating in The Longest Day, a fundraising event to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.
Today, an estimated 50 million people worldwide are living with Alzheimer’s or other dementias, including more than 6 million Americans. In the United States alone, more than 11 million friends and family members are providing their care. We must take action now, or these numbers will continue to rise. Visit The Longest Day to learn more.
